“One is called Ullr, son of Sif, step-son of Thor; he is so excellent a bowman, and so swift on snowshoes, that none may contend with him. He is also fair of aspect and has the accomplishments of a warrior; it is well to call on him in single-combats.”
– Gylfagining
Ullr is the God of winter. We honor Ullr as the God of the hunt and look to him for success during hunting season. We also honor Ullr as a very primal ancient God of our Hyperborean homeland. Ullr inspires us to go our and to hunt for our next meal, literally and figuratively.
May we have the determination of the hunter. May we overcome obstacles and thrive in adverse conditions.
Hail Ullr!
